The MyRide Broward app was developed by BusPas Inc. and Broward County Transit Agency. The MyRide Broward app is a real time information product for Broward County Transit customers, providing bus arrival information, bus location and route schedule information for all Broward County Transit bus routes. The app works well sometimes, but a lot of times the data feed is down ( The service is currently unavailable...), and that’s quite frustrating when you’re on a route with infrequent bus service and long wait times, and it’s very hot and the sun is beating down on you, and you have to wait a 1/2 hour for a bus because you don’t know if it’s coming or not, EVEN THOUGH you DO have this app. I don’t know how often this app is updated, but I do know that the way it’s starting to perform has gotten to be quite unacceptable.

I’ve been using this app for a month or two now (I had it on my Google Pixel before) and it’s been great. Today something was up. I’m not sure if the bus stop (Pompano Beach by Michael’s) was moved, but the app told me it was right next to Michael’s, so I waited there, thinking the bus stop sign was past it for visibility purposes for the bus driver. So the bus stops at the stop before this one, and I wave at the bus driver. But apparently the sign was where the bus stop actually was, and it ended up passing me. Anyway, I’d had a feeling that the bus stop was next to Michael’s before, so I believe that the location of the stop just hasn’t been updated yet. I would like this resolved, for me, and for others who have no idea what happens with traffic in Broward. Thank you.

I’ve been using this app for a month or two now (I had it on my Google Pixel before) and it’s been great. Today something was up. This app promises real time bus arrival in Broward county but it is never different from the inaccurate times you can just find on Google. I have seen buses come to my stop 10 min late with no update on the app. It is even worse when they come earlier (the time on the app never changes), and I miss the bus which does not come back before 45 min. Counting on this app to do its job is a huge waste of both time and money. It can barely tell my real location on the map. There’s neither precision in nor automatic updates on the location. Just this morning I was in front of a bus stop but the map showed I already passed it. This app is failing, not as hard as the whole public transit system in Broward, still there’s no sign neither of them will get fixed, updated anytime soon.

This app will track your bus...it will say it’s 3 real-time, then 9 real-time, then 1 real-time, then 42 real-time....guess what?! During ALL those arbitrary updates, you won’t see your bus. I promise. I mean, I get that it’s FL and the buses run every hour, but that makes it a hell of lot more aggravating when your bus doesn’t show up. Wonderful example...one route has just shown up a second time since I started waiting! Seriously, this area is SO overpopulated, getting a functioning transit system is critical....we’re hitting critical mass people. Maybe Gov Scott’s just banking on the fact that we’ll sink eventually 😒
