NeuroDetect is a mobile app that detects peripheral neuropathy in patients treated with chemotherapy. Peripheral neuropathy is a common side effect of chemotherapy that causes numbness, tingling, and/or pain in the hands and feet. There are no effective agents to treat or prevent peripheral neuropathy. Neuropathy is typically monitored during treatment by patients reporting symptoms to their clinical team. NeuroDetect collects patient-reported neuropathy symptoms by questionnaire and has functional tests that may be indicative of neuropathy development. These functional tests require integration with Apple’s ResearchKit to collect movement data. This private app is only available to participants in a clinical trial and is for research purposes only.
