NG Wire™ is an iPhone and iPad app for professionals involved in the electrical construction industry. NG Wire™ utilizes popular National Electric Code® (NEC®) tables for general building wiring, conduit, and motor data. Users can look up values and handle general and detailed conduit fill calculations, based on these NEC® tables.
The app streamlines the daily process of wire, motor, and conduit calculations for fast, efficient, and accurate results. NG Wire™ can go with you anywhere, from your office as you design, to in the field as you review or plan an installation and need quick reference to NEC® data. Gone are the days of using cumbersome code book paper or PDF look-up tables.
The app includes 11 of the most used NEC® tables and calculation topics. These include:

To use the NG Wire™ app you must sign up for either a monthly or annual subscription. New subscriptions will start with a free trial that is the full version of the app. After the trial period, subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled, and will be charged via your Apple iTunes account. You can manage your subscription by selecting Settings from the Side View menu in the app.
The NG Wire™ app comes with table data and calculations from both the 2023 and 2020 NEC®. Your subscription gives you access to future versions that will include NEC® updates. New data years will be added when released by the NEC® which typically happens every 3 years. Prior years data will remain in the app until there are no states in the USA that are using the data. Notice will be given prior to removing this data.

NG Wire™ v2.0 updates:
- NEC® changes: Added NEC® 2023 and updated NEC® 2020 table data and calculations.
- Ampacity and Ambient Temp: Added ability to choose between 30°C and 40°C (base temperatures).
- Conduit Fill: Added 5" and 6" conduit data for EMT and IMC.
- Minimum Cover: Updated text with NEC® 2023 changes.
- Ampacity and 3-Phase Motors: Bug fixed when a value is picked that allows a dependent picker to be set to a value that does not exist in the updated list.
- SideView menu: Removed Rate and Privacy & Terms. Added Settings.
- Settings: Users can select the NEC® data year and manage subscriptions.
- Added review request popup.
- Tweaked display settings to handle new devices as well as handle display changes made in this version.
- Added logic to save off user preferences. This information is only stored on the current device.
