A beautiful story that ACTUALLY has an ending!

Usually, I find myself losing entire weekends to some brain dump of a game whose sole purpose is leveling (the downside of adult ADD). This little cinematic journey, however, was the exact opposite. It took a few tries to figure what I needed to do, but once I got it, helping this man along his journey became a delightful challenge. I never felt the need to play more than 30 minutes or so, as the little breaks for the storyline gave me perfect stopping points. Honestly, it was less like a game and more like the old days of made-for-tv miniseries. You weren’t able to binge them, so coming back over the course of a few weeks just to see what happens next was just part of the fun of life before on-demand! 👵🏾🥰Now, instead of the shame I always feel when I’ve played stupid games and won stupid prizes, I’ve got a wonderful story to look back on. Thank you so much!!!

Slow burn and captivating story

This game was the definition of a slow burn that was truly worth every second. I am never one to leave reviews for games but this one is completely worth it. I spent days playing this and at first I was losing momentum. Then, pieces of the old man’s past starting coming together and I started to feel his story and where he came from. The journey and levels are unique at every stage and had beautiful graphics. I like that, although very simple, there was some difficulty in the game that challenged me. In the last stage, the ending took me by surprise and left me in tears. Every little piece came together and I realized what the introduction meant and was left in awe of the moral of the story. Amazing work to the game designers, the studio, and everyone who worked on this game. 10/10!!

Had bugs so couldn’t play at first. However-Due to the absolute beauty of the game and the fast response from the devs alerting me to their quick fix I am now LOVING the journey! As someone pretty new to gaming I’m so appreciative of help when it’s offered. Thank you devs. You have a fan for life- and this is the perfect game for me. (I don’t care for shooting people or high stress) so if anyone out there likes unique puzzle games, pastoral aesthetics and relaxation with a bit of melancholy you’ll dig OMJ. I only wish there was a little tutorial but I know I can’t have it all- and it’s likely not necessary for those not new to gaming. Thanks again to the devs for their fast response and for helping and educating me.

HI BentFabric! Sorry to hear you're having troubles! We have one bug where the wrong levels are being loaded, resulting in sometimes skipping parts of the game after a restart. We already resolved this and are submitting it for review today. Should be fixed soon. Please try again once the update is live! Also, here are some tips for playing OMJ: - Tap anywhere to make the old man walk there (if he can) - The old man can jump between hills if they visually overlap - Drag hills to make them overlap and thus build a path - You can't drag the hill the old man is standing on. Move away from a hill to drag it. - You can interact with the environment and other people by tapping on them. Once the update is live and you try again, please consider updating your review. We're only a small team and depend on the awareness of our game on stores. 1-star reviews hurt the reception of our game quite a lot. Thanks, Felix

Edit: after days of deleting & reinstalling this game I finally realize it was something I didn’t do so I could continue to make progress in the game, so I changed my review to 5 stars.. Oops. LolWas enjoying this game until I got to the 3rd chapter from the end. The old man is stuck in the back of the truck. I tried restarting the level, then deleting the app, then reinstalled it, restarted the level again & again AND he’s STILL sitting in the back of that darn truck for hours. It won’t load no matter what I do. PLEASE fix this. I’m getting extremely annoyed now over a game (this is a first for me , lol). I want to finish the game already.
