Ratings and Reviews
Upgrade for era app
Love the device but after seeing the update to the app I wanted to review it.
Session control is a great concept but you don’t define how many draws would be set for each option. If I click the question mark icon I get a definition for session control but no idea how many draws would be set once I choose. Size can be a pretty subjective thing. I’d consider me a micro-doser but I can’t chance it getting blitzed to determine your numeric parameters.
Also it took me a long time to find the device lock feature. I kept expecting it to be in control center.
Finally, I liked another user’s suggestion of elaborating on how different temp settings can affect user experience (besides just more flavor or more vapor). I realize it depends on what is in your pod, but maybe use 3 different examples like a CBD dominant pod vs 1:1 vs all THC maybe? Just a little link where we can view a “Vape Temp Setting 101” would be handy. It’s always nice to read a credible source’s suggestions and guidance on how to have the most satisfying experience with this wonderful plant. The temp setting seems like a natural place to put such a link. Also remember some of us are newbies to vaping oil. Flower vaping has a very different temp range so do the same concepts apply to oil, for example?
Props for even making an app to go with the device though. I’m a Pax fan for sure. I love setting my temp more accurately w the app and the ability to lock it is so...responsible.
Great Product; So-So App
When I first decided to give vaping a try, I had no idea what I was doing. I had the luck to stumble upon the Pax ERA. I absolutely LOVE this little vaporizer, and it’s the one I keep coming back to. I love the temperature settings, but my favorite feature is how convenient and ready-to-go this device is: pick it up and puff.
The best thing about this app is that it gives the user the ability to set precise vaping temps. However, it would be helpful to have some context for these temperatures, especially since it’s pretty important to the vaping experience overall. Another reviewer suggested adding a link to a third party (Leafly); I think that’s a great idea.
Other than the ability to lock the device (a good safety feature) and play some cheesy games (ala “Simon” of the early 80s), there’s not much more this app does (except spy on the users’ cannabis consumption, a cynic might suggest) as far as I can tell. I read something about “Session Control” for microdosing, but I can’t seem to find it.
3star because graphical issues, tech works perfect
I have a few devices and i find myself using the app more with my big iPad Pro compared to my small mobile but this app is not supported for iPads or tablets so the graphics looks like a small phone just blown up and pixelated(aka gross looking and blurry) which isn’t terrible because the app still works perfect but then there are also things like number overlays because when blown up for iPad the temp control overlays the current temp and current action (aka heating/ready). I still use this app on my iPad all the time but then my friends see how bad it looks and then associate pax with bad quality so it’s a little annoying for me because it looks bad but I really couldn’t care too much(other than enough to write this) but then refusing to update the graphics and making it compatible to larger devices like tablets or laptops is going to lose you money, already has!
