PlanForm is a free and lightweight PDF Reader for professionals, especially for construction estimating and management.
PlanForm is the best choice for QS to do quantity takeoff and estimate.
Main features: Annotate PDFs, Text/table extraction, Auto-bookmarks, batch converting PDF to DWG/JPG, JPG to PDF, Scanned PDF to searchable PDF, Merge PDFs, Measuring length/areas, Counting objects, and Auto tabulating (.xlsx).
Most of the functions are free. In-app purchase is also available to upgrade to VIP membership, providing access to all VIP functions.

A PDF measure tool for Mac Pros
As a Mac user, I was stuck with Bluebeam's clunky Windows on vitualmachine—until now! This app gives me all the markup, measurement tools I need, but optimized for macOS. It's fast, native, and even opens PDF drawing flawlessly. Finally, a real PDF solution for Mac pros!
