PetFon 4+

It’s perfect at giving you the location of your pet, but it seems to only work well when you are not on WiFi. Once you’re on WiFi you can’t use the controller to do any of the features like lighting up the tracker or control the sound. It also doesn’t show you where your pet is when they move from the location or out of the geofence. The weekly summary is a joke. It doesn’t give you an accurate map of where you’ve walked with your dog.

When you are not on WiFi it works perfectly. Battery life is really only 2 days even though they advertise 4 days. Overall, it works just not on WiFi and it needs major updates on the app.

This App and the device are absolutely worth the money. Took my German Shorthaired Pointer into the mountains this morning for a hike. She tends to stay ahead of us on the trail and checks in from time to time. On our way down, she didn’t respond to our recall. The PETFON told us she had gone back up into the mountains rather than proceeding us down as we had thought. We would not have looked for her in the right direction without this device. Initially, I didn’t believe the App, but it proved to be absolutely accurate. It was a great feeling when I started seeing her little avatar advancing towards me on my phone. This unit will be helpful to anyone with an off leash dog.

I was so hoping this was going to be the device to track my cat. Unfortunately it’s almost impossible to pair and when it says it’s paired it only connects half the time. Sending it back.

An update

Still barely workable with its pop up warnings and instructions. Battery isn’t great, I asked questions on its “help” option with absolutely no response. There would probably be a language challenge anyway. All that to say with a lit of fiddling with it and holding your mouth just right and it’s in a good mood.... it works. It’s accurate as well. I hope they update the firmware. Since there’s no contract, I’ll live with it.
