The speech timer used by speakers, speech moderators, and AV specialists, either alone, or to remotely control one or multiple other iOS devices (IAP required). Podium Timer Pro is a simple, elegant, and versatile timer designed for public speakers, and for those timing them. Podium Timer Pro is ready-to-go for individuals, and can be instantly upgraded for use by event staff or AV professionals to synchronize and remotely control one or multiple iOS devices from a single iOS device wirelessly (BluetoothLE-capable devices required). Whether you are giving a talk, presentation, speech, or lecture, Podium Timer Pro replaces your wristwatch on the podium with something you can actually read and that helps you pace your delivery. Podium Timer Pro lets you easily configure the length of your talk (up to 99 minutes) as well as the lengths of the three time periods that let you know the end is near. Podium Timer Pro comes with beautiful “skins”, and for each of these looks, you can pick the number colors and effects that are most appropriate for the lighting at your venue. In addition to the standard countdown timer, Podium Timer Pro also displays the elapsed time as well as the current time. All views can be seen with just a simple swipe of a nervous finger, or Podium Timer Pro can even automatically cycle through the different timers. You can also include messages or reminders to yourself (or send to others after upgrades) during the talk without missing a beat. If your job is to time someone's speech, Podium Timer Pro will even keep track of the elapsed time when you (quietly) receive a text message, a calendar reminder, or even a phone call! As requested by users of our previous apps, Podium Timer and Podium Timer HD, the following features have been added to Podium Timer Pro, • Runs on any iOS 9.0+ device (e.g. "universal") • 13 alert sounds configurable for the end of each phase of the talk • Show or hide timer descriptions depending on lighting • Flash or do not flash time when talk is running overtime With either In-App Purchase upgrade, • Any BluetoothLE-enabled device can act as either the controller/master or as a synchronized clone (e.g. iPhone controls iPad, iPad Mini controls iPhone) With the Single-Sync upgrade (for smaller events), • One iOS device can synchronize and control ONE other iOS device With the Multi-Sync upgrade (for AV professionals and large rooms), • One iOS device can synchronize and control MULTIPLE other iOS devices

Excellent app but doesn’t work on iOS 16.2

Please update this to work on the latest iPhone update. It no longer works on iOS 16.2 and higher. Please update. Also add faster access to the Total time function. It’s cumbersome to have to go deep into settings every time we have to change the total time.

I looked at several apps similar to this, but liked the option to have a master/clone feature, where I could control my iPad from my iPhone remotely with the timer. This works great, although I had to pay the extra $5.99 for the feature. Still, it was exactly what I needed and worth the payment. I am surprised that there has not been an update for quite some time, but it works well.

This works great, although I had to pay the extra $5.99 for the feature. Still, it was exactly what I needed and worth the payment. I am surprised that there has not been an update for quite some time, but it works well.

Update to Review: App was great - but latest update has ruined. 1) App crashes/closes after going over time at 21 mins2) Warning Phase time only flashes Red - speakers can see they are over time - but there is no option to make the color white - after selecting white in Warning Phase settings, it automatically reverts to red3) When selecting 12 hour civilian time - time is still displayed without a 12 in front to indicate 12 am, other am times do appear with number in front. Please help fix what used to be an amazing app. Thank you.

I purchased this app because it touts the ability to control an iPad remotely for speakers & presentations. After purchasing the app on my iPad for $1.99, I learned that I also had to purchase a different and more expensive app for the iPhone to be able to utilize the remote control feature.I that in order to use this feature on the paid iPhone app, I had to purchase a $4.99 paid upgrade to the app. The kicker is that having spent almost $10 between the two apps and the upgrade, when I went to sync the two devices, there was a note saying that the iPad 2 is not compatible with this feature.None of this is stated in the instructions ahead of time... A total waste of time and money for me and I'm gathering there are no refunds. Grrr.

This review refers to an old, entirely separate set of apps that did require both an iPhone app and an iPad app for connectivity. Both of these apps used Wifi for connectivity. The older iPhone app was removed from the App Store in 2014 when this app was introduced. The "new" app Podium Timer Pro, published in 2014, requires Bluetooth LE for connectivity exclusively (no Wifi). It is a Universal app and users only have to buy PTP once and use it on all their compatible devices (under the same Apple ID) no longer requiring a separate iPad app. Unfortunately, the original iPad and the iPad 2 do not have BTLE capability and are NOT listed (by Apple) in the devices that are compatible with the current app. And nowhere did we ever say or imply that this entirely new PTP would work with any older apps of ours whether for the iPhone or iPad (like the iPad app this user purchased).
