The Publer Safari extension allows you to create & schedule social media posts without having to open Publer on a new tab.

By installing this extension, you will be able to share with your network the article you're reading, a cute picture you find on the internet, or a quote you think it's worth sharing simply by right-clicking on them.

To share a webpage or a link, simply right-click on it and select "Share page with Publer".

To share a quote or text, simply select it, right-click on it and select "Share selection with Publer".

To share an image, simply right-click on the image and select "Share image with Publer".

To make it easier for you:

- A "share" button will appear below every image that you see on the web

- The current webpage you're on will be automatically attached when activating the extension

Both these options can be disabled at any time by visiting the extension's settings page.

A superb social media tool!

Our team has been using Publer for at least a year now and found it to be the one social media publishing tool we can't live without. We also use Safari as our default browser, so when Publer created a Safari extention (when most developers can't be bothered) we were over the moon! So much time saved!

Publer is regularly updated and procuct enhancements are ongoing. Love the their team so much and trust them implicity. Check out the Publer FB group if you want to meet the team, too.

As to the permissions required by this extention, they are the same permissions required by all extensions. There's no way around it. Trust in the product & team certainlly helps, but you can also turn this extention off & on when you need it (same goes for all extentions).

Publer Is An Amazing Social Management Tool

Publer makes it easy for me to autoschedule the content that my business's social media presence posts regularly, saving myself and my team a tremendous amount of time.

Didnt feel brave enough

So conceptually this answer all my requirements but on installation, the MAC said this.....

Permissions for Publer
Webpage content and browsing history
Can read and alter sensitive information on webpages, including passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards, and see your browsing history on the current tab's webpage when you use the extension.

I just felt there were just too many warnings in one sentence. I removed the app.

Developer Response ,

Hi Nick,

While the permissions look scary, they're simply boilerplate text from Apple shown for every Safari extension that can access the webpages that you visit.

Without this permission, Publer won't be able to get the URL of the site you're on, nor the photos on that website. I can guarantee you that we have no interest in gaining access to passwords, credit card number or any other information that is not related to what we offer.

There's a detailed blog post on this topic that is affecting all developers: https://lapcatsoftware.com/articles/security-safari-extensions.html

I hope that you will give us another chance as this bad review is hurting our reputation (you can search for reviews for our company online).

Best,
Ervin
