YK•FEAR ,

I missed you

It’s like the original but without the “ORIGINALS” like the trackpad or having the option to open full screen, every game I play is choppy and rough, but I know y’all developers can fix that and if y’all do I will change my review to 5 stars!!! Please devs I really missed y’all’s browser :((

Hi,
Puffin Incognito Browser and Puffin Web Browser are two different browsers. Puffin Incognito Browser emphasized complete anonymity and ultimate security. We block some feature which has information security doubts. For example, Puffin Incognito Browser blocks all permissions(camera, microphone, geolocations, etc.). And it may influence some website features.
Therefore, the experience between the two apps is different. As for Puffin Web Browser, we can not update Puffin's iOS version for a long time.

We still make an effort to find a way to upgrade Puffin Web Browser on iOS. Thank you for your understanding and support!

I like the concept, though it should go without saying, I'm skeptical of any product marketing full anonymity. Let's be frank, the cloudmosa servers are hosted in USA. They, as well as my own devices, can be used for anything from marketed user data to direct relinquish of data to pheds. This is not a huge deal with me. Can't say it isnt creepy living in USA knowing privacy doesn't exist. Theres not really exceptions to that, but Ive accepted it, and just generally avoid doing anything online that could draw harmful attention. Im also a believer that utilizing hardcore stacks of privacy preserving setups is likely to have the opposite effect than you intend. As in, doing so is less likely to hide your activity, but very likely to be flagged by your ISP or DNS's AI driven traffic filters to flag your incoming/outgoing data as suspicious. Get to much of that, and their software will prioritize its monitoring of your activity, and under certain flags being triggered, will notify their human team to directly survey what you do, to discern whether your user should be reported to you know who. Easiest solution is really to not be a criminal. However, speaking strictly on more minuscule data that is personal but not incriminatingg, it totally makes sense to minimize traffic of that sort without some mild fingerprint obfuscation. It wont hide anything from your older male sibling, but could prevent Alphabet inc from selling your history to Instagram (just, for example). In this context, I think this app is decent in what it claims to do. I did notice IP leaking in some of the outbound DNS packets (prefixed right on the requested domain name). However, still a more private solution that could minimize additional data connected to your user fingerprint. And I appreciate it for what it is. Thanks puffin 🙏

Apple *ucked us

The puffin browser was by far, hands-down, the best mobile browser EVER. Nothing else even came close.

The NONSENSE that Apple attacked Puffin and blocked the mobile version is a tragedy!

Shame on you, Apple!!!

Hello,

We sincerely appreciate your invaluable support! Puffin Incognito Browser has been meticulously designed with a strong emphasis on prioritizing user privacy and security, particularly in situations where complete anonymity is indispensable. Our other product, "Puffin Cloud Browser" on iOS, has faced challenges due to Apple's app policies, making it difficult for us to provide updates over the past few years. Unfortunately, "Puffin Cloud Browser" on iOS was forced to remain on a very old browser engine that was built 7 years ago. As a result, when websites update, this may lead to bugs and other issues.

Nonetheless, we made a concerted effort to address user-reported issues by submitting a new version of "Puffin Cloud Browser" to Apple earlier this year. Fortunately, Apple accepted this new version, allowing us to release it on the App Store. However, the future availability of new versions of "Puffin Cloud Browser" on iOS remains uncertain. Additionally, upgrading the outdated browser engine for Puffin on iOS is a resource-intensive endeavor that presents its own set of challenges.

For users with privacy needs, we highly recommend Puffin Incognito Browser.

Thank you for your continued support!
