I love this game. It's fun and challenging. It gets much harder as you progress. I never cared for mining gold coins in the early levels but in the later levels I was needing gold. I refuse to pay .99 cents for everything I need so the only way to progress through later levels is to have lots of gold on hand to buy helpful things. After I got stuck at level 25 and my gold supply was dwindling, I realized the need to have mined as much gold as possible in the early levels. Once you complete a level finding both the switch and the gold star, you can no longer mine for gold on this levels. If you don't open the gold star chest on one of the easy levels, you can go back time and time again and mine for easy gold. I left level 4 open just for that reason.

I really enjoy the cave exploration/miner genre of games. I like the "chain similar items" but it can get repetitive. Combine the two genres and you have one of the most amazing games I've ever played on iOS. The graphics are top notch and the music is perfect. The gameplay is challenging and there are plenty of strategies which make you think through your choices as you continue to dig deeper. The tutorials are very well done. The most amazing part is that the game is completely free. The IAP is totally optional and completely not needed. You also aren't harassed about IAP. You wouldn't even know it's there unless you look for it. If you want to make your game a little easier by adding a map then you can pay 99 cents. You can pay $4.99 if you want to get rid of the recharge to play timers. These developers deserve your money and I'm going to buy some IAP because THIS is how you make a freemium game!! EDIT: I've removed a star because it won't stop harassing me about a review even after I've written one.

and, unlike some people who clearly lack the skills required to progress, I have found ZERO requirement to purchase anything to progress. I did purchase the unlimited lives, not because i had to to progress but because I love this game and want to support the developers.i do agree more hearts or the ability to match or find blocks to heal would be GREAT, but isnt necessary as you can just AVOID the creatures! takes skill, patience, and planning but is how I made it all the way to the end of what's currently available - which btw, PLEASE MORE LEVELS!!! this game gets hard as you progress, but that just makes it more fun. if the challenge level stayed the same, it would get boring! this is more than a matching game, it's a strategy, puzzle, adventure game and is AWESOME.

This game is one of my favorites. The design is superb, the graphics are great, the challenge is there... what more can you ask for in a freemium game? You can even get through the entire game without spending any money, which is an amazing thing. Paying for the unlimited lives is worth it just to give the developers some appreciation.The ONLY complaint is that they have never continued the game beyond level 80. Still, the 80 levels are enough to keep you busy.Highly recommend. This is one of my must-have games and I hope they continue to upgrade as necessary when the operating system upgrades.
