تتناول الرواية أحداث متشابكة وغامضة وخاطفة، تبدأ بتلك الجملة المكتوبة بالألمانية “شرفي هو ولائي” فوق كهف في مدينة العلمين، ويقرأها “يوسف” الذي كان يبحث عن شيء مقدس، و”زينة” التي تصر على اتهام البعض بقتل زوجها، وعلى الرغم من أن “يوسف” لا يعيش في العلمين ولا يعرف من سكن ذلك الكهف ولماذا كتبت تلك الجملة، وعلى الرغم من أن زوج “زينة” لم يقتل وأنها تص على موته مقتولاً ونسبياً هي صادقة في قولها، إلا أن ما يزيد الرواية غموضاً أن “يوسف” لا يعرف “زينة” ولم يقابلها ولكن أشياء كثيرة تجمعهم من خلال الأحداث المتشابكة.
وتتواجد الرواية في معرض القاهرة الدولي للكتاب لهذا العام .
