What an excellent file manager

The reason for choosing another file manager instead of the default Finder is because is because it is way too slow with with

Pros:

-It loads files waaay faster than Finder.

-It has more customization options such as colored bookmark icons, dual panels, and a favorite icon.

-The interface is very pleasing and easy to navigate.

Cons:

-I would like more control for individual folder properties. So I commonly use groups and different thumbnail sizes for different folders as oppose to all.

-It does not look like there is an option to group by tags. Grouping is one of those key features I use to have "specific" files grouped togther so I don't have to have folders inside folders.

-It does not maintain custom folder thumbnails. There is a Apple approach to change thumbnails, and there is also an approach from an app called File Icon Changer. This program, however, reserves its own folder properties.

Verdict:
The program is excellent and easily meets the needs Mac users are looking for. For my needs, however, the three cons are quite important to me, but I'm giving the program 4 stars since my needs are not everyone's, and the program excels very powerfully.

Very nice file manager!

I've tested dozens of different file managers for OS X. My job requires strict file management across several shares and thousands upon thousands of directories. Having multiple panes is essential to my workflow. QSpace handles it well! Love how I can have 1, 2, 3 or 4 panes in different layouts. The application is very polished, neat and stable. I would like to request the ability to have tabs in each pane, rather than using tabs as separate groups of panes (workspaces). I'd also like a Refresh button in the toolbar which updates folder contents for the active pane (I work on network shares which don't always update folder contents right away). I'd like to be able to add shortcuts to apps in the toolbar (like current Finder allows). Lastly, for the Trash button in the toolbar, can we have an option to automatically "Delete directly" if it's a network share and can't be moved to trash?

Thank you for the excellent software!

Developer Response ,

Very happy to bring you convenience! Thanks for your suggestions, I will improve in future versions. In addition, you can gather other workspace windows as tabs in the workspace list view. If you want to force refresh the view, try the Command+R shortcut.

Thank you again for your support! :)

Great app, but too slow

It's a great app to have multiple windows always ready for your most used folders OR to transfering between drives. The only problem is that the app is slow to access files. There is some delay when trying to playback or read files. The app needs to optimized a bit more to be fully functional.
