Really good app for rolling of dice

I really like the features that are available with this app. I had 2 questions / issues that wasn’t able to figure out.

I would like to turn off the voiced page titles. I tried to turn the VO speed to off, however that setting selection didn’t seem to affect the reading of the page titles or the long press on a page.

I would like to turn off the dice sound. I tried setting the SFX to off, however that setting didn’t seem to affect the dice rolling sound.

Hi Liquid. Thanks for your review. You're right. Thinking about it, we were concerned that if the sound accidentally was turned off by a blind or low vision user that there would be no way for them to navigate back to address that, but we really value your suggestions and are going to explore ways that we can implement additional volume controls. Thanks again for your review and suggestions. We really value them.

Please fix

This app worked great until I updated it. Now it is not accessible, it is acting like it can see the stuff but will not let me manipulate. Please, best ice roller for blind people ever.

Great app with a bit of a learning curve

First, this app is great. It makes easy work of rolling multiple dice of different sizes and provides a really easy mechanic to roll and clear formulas. I'll be passing it along to other blind and visually impaired players and it will get some serious action when i run my next campaign.

Some things of note:
The app is self voicing so that anyone can get audio feedback regardless of whether they use the VoiceOver screen reader. The voice can also be turned off.
Because it is self voicing, the VoiceOver speech is suspended so that there aren't competing voices speaking at once.
There is a bit of a learning curve to using the app. Developer might consider adding a modal window that pops up the first time the app is started to give the basics of the guide and to direct users on how to reach the guide should they need instructions again.

Rolling dice couldn't be easier. Just select the dice by tapping it and roll by swiping up. You can combine dice of all sizes in any combination as well. Chaos bolt has never been easier to cast with its two d8 and one d6 combo.

A button is provided to roll two d20 at once to simplify advantage and disadvantage.

Modifiers are really easy as well with one button that you can tap with one finger to increase the modifier and tap with two fingers to decrease it.

There are multiple ways to change the speech pattern of the app. It can be turned off completely, speak brief sentences, speak full sentences, or read individual rolls. That makes it easy to see which dice you rolled low on. I'm looking at you, great weapon master, sharp shooter, and empowered spell meta magic.

There are a few kinks to get ironed out. For example, if you're a swift swiper, you might find that the app repeats actions multiple times. While testing, i rolled a formula of dice and swiped down to clear it: then quickly swiped left to create a new formula and the app repeated the clear formula action.

VoiceOver users might also get confused when navigating the settings and previous rolls section because you cannot swipe or explore by touch in these sections. Just listen to the guide and use the single and double long tap custom gestures and you'll be up and running in no time.
This is the situation where the modal window on very first app launch would be useful.

All in all, i like this app a lot and I'm excited to see where it goes from here. By far the most accessible dedicated dice rolling app I've ever used. Great job.

We wanted to say a big thank you for your review. It really helped us to feel like we were on the right path. Your review inspired us to create a screen reader friendly user guide which can be found here: http://blindsparrowinteractive.com/readytoroll/userguide.html

You may have noticed a small update recently, and we are working on a free major update that will improve functionality, explain more clearly how to use the app and increase the features and types of rolls available.

Once again, thank you for your review. We really appreciated it.
