Redacted makes it quick and easy to redact parts of an image. Hide sensitive details of an image by simply clicking and dragging. You can redact an image in three different ways:
• Black bar
Quickly drag and drop an image into Redacted or simply paste and image to get going. When you're done, share it to Facebook, Twitter, and more with Yosemite's new share menu or simply copy the image out of Redacted.
Note: Redacted doesn't support PDFs yet.

Please fix El Capitan!!!!
Used to work great. No longer does. Opens document then reduction is VERY erratic and you cannot choose any option it crashes. Apple sends the reports to the developers so I am hoping they will fix this.
On a surface level, not as friendly as I thought it would be
After using the app for 10 minutes, I still can’t figure out how to adjust the level of redaction (in case you can still see the data you’re trying to scrub).
I have SnagIt for Mac and honestly it does this amoungst many other things, much better in fact.
Developer Response ,
You can't adjust the level of redaction. If you have feature requests, I'd love to hear about them: email@example.com
Problematic when redacting large images (e.g., screenshots)
Very slow. Plus the mosaic pattern is distorted for large images.
