Nostalgia at its best
I remember the eerie thrill of playing this when it was new on the original Playstation. So much the superior game to Myst, in my opinion, it was everything a sequel needed to be: it upped the stakes and was bigger and better than its predecessor. The puzzles were just as challenging as the original, as well.
Later games lost the magic, because they focused more heavily on timing and reflex based puzzles, rather than unintuitive brain puzzles, but Riven was absolutely perfect.
It seems that this is the original version of the game, not an update or anything, and I highly approve. This is a real trip and can't wait to delve into the world and lore more thoroughly again.
