FEATURES:

The SMS MobileApp is Making Safer Easier for commercial fishing vessels. The application walks users through what, when, and how to do their safety management tasks. The application guides users to properly complete equipment inspections and maintenance as well as having the equipment serviced. Failed inspection criteria are tracked until resolved and can be assigned as a task to crew members.

Users are guided through conducting drills and giving emergency instruction using generally recommended emergency procedures. The MobileApp keeps company policies and procedures handy and allows administrators to get confirmation that policies and procedures have been read and are understood. All vessel logs can be kept within the SMS app and reports run at the touch of a button or by simply defining a data range.

Crew member certifications are tracked and the required certifications for vessel personnel are matched against those of the crew enabling the skipper to know through the application if his vessel has the personnel with the certifications required by regulation or company policy.

The application works offline when vessels are offshore and easily syncs when an internet connection is available. Vessel management can easily define future lesson plans using safety management content from our Platform Partners.


PLEASE NOTE: You will need an Overboard Solutions account to utilize this application. This is not a stand alone application and must be used in conjunction with the administrative functions of the Overboard Solution Safety Management Platform WebApp.
