ScanCoin is one of the best sources to identify, check and sell even your coins. They have resources to provide answers to if your coin is rare. You no longer have to second guess.

Canceled free trial / “subscription” after trying for 30 mins and deleted app… neat but not impressed enough to pay for a monthly subscription. Turns out that doesn’t work… have been getting charged weekly for this of $9.99. I wouldn’t pay that for apps I actually use all the time. And then when you request a refund it says ineligible. Apple support will only go back so far and not refund all your money you were scammed by this app on. Beware of this app. Unless you are scanning coins daily and selling for a profit this is not worth it and they apparently do not care if you cancel the “subscription” they will keep charging anyways. Apple doesn’t care either. I will be deleting all subscriptions as Apple gets enough money from me monthly between other subscriptions and does not seem to care about keeping that business.

I just downloaded the free trial to try it out, as I have a lot of coins that I have been interested in selling. After scanning two coins, the images that were taken as opposed to the images that your app captured are totally OFF. The coins that I took pictures of are not dull or worn. The lines are crisp and easily verifiable by the naked eye, as well as any working camera. I am not sure why it is not capturing the images as it appears on my coins? For example: I have a 1966 SILVER half dollar, which the app mistook as copper/nickel plated, and for the year your app noted 1980. Way off. In case you’re wondering what type of camera I used, it was an apple 15 Pro Max; the camera is rather exceptional. Can you please advise as to what the problem could be? Thank You!

Seems this app could have potential but their marketplace is way out of whack. Maybe if they had better security control or mandated your listing pass an inspection before anyone literally putting anything and everything up for sale. The coins that are actually of value get lost upon hundreds of coins that aren’t worth anything above their actual value. Seems everyone who scans a coin and receives a price value of $.01-$10,000 ran to the marketplace in app and put that coin for sale for $10,000. People lack common sense anymore. If you scroll down and the look the app misjudged the scan and thought it was a different year.
