The Shabbat application will allow you to quickly check the candle lighting times, havdalah times and parsha for the week in any location in the world. This comes in handy when you quickly want to know when Shabbos is or if you want to know if it is too late to call your in-laws in Israel. Just flip through the different cities and countries, to see what the local time is and what time they start or finish Shabbos. Enjoy this free Jewish application by downloading it on iTunes for your iPhone or iPod Touch. The application requires an internet connection only when you use the search feature, to locate a location. Otherwise, it can run without an internet connection. I import times for a year at a time from hebcal into my calendar and sync, but I like the fact that you can quickly have access to times for different locations. Presentation is great. And the price can't be beat - thanks!A few suggestions if you're looking to improve on an already very nice app:- Why not use the GPS to allow adding your current location more easily?- Also being able to see times for a specific date(s) beyond this/next week would definitely be great for planning ahead.- I'll second the request for having the local time keep current (it's a little disconcerting).- Lastly, haven't had an opportunity to see what it does for Chagim, but why not recast it from just Shabbat times to be able to handle candle lighting for Erev Chag as well? [This has been added since this was originally posted. Thanks!]

I’m a non-religious guy with observant friends and relatives. I’ve been using this app for years to ensure that I arrive be for Shabbos, don’t call after Yom Tov candle lighting, etc.It’s a single use case experience that has always been there for me!

It only shows times in Jerusalem, but I live in Los Angeles. When I add my city, it allows to add locations but then doesn’t actually show you times for other places. Only Jerusalem
