The SheetCut Optimizer is a mobile app designed for woodworkers, carpenters, DIYers, fabricators, manufacturers, stone producers and anyone else who need to figure out the most efficient way to cut parts while using stock sheets as little as possible, such as plywoods, MDF, wood panels, particle boards, glasses, stone slabs and plastics, etc.. Great Aside From Few Issues

The layouts are great.. that is if you can actually get the pop-up numerical keypad to actually function. I build custom cabinetry for a living, so something like this is something I would use on the daily. However, whenever I go to input measurements, it takes triple the amount of time it should because the keypad collapses before I’m able to do so. If this issue is resolved, this is a great option. Until then, this app is useless.iPhone 12 Pro Max, latest software.

Problems Out of the box!

For whatever reason the popup numeric key pad for entering measurements keeps closing as soon as a move my finger over it? So far this is mostly worthless. The calculations and layout look nice after I was able to enter my data after 200 attempts. It's like playing "Wack a Mole" just to get your numbers in. And its not that fun. As others have stated, I too would be willing to pay a few cents per use or buy it at a reasonable price, but 4.99 a Month is over the top for a weekender like me. It's not like it's gonna pay for itself in wasted wood. I can ruin an entire sheet of nice $50 plywood. For the annual cost of this app. Plus with a tiny bit more effort I can do the same layouts in SketchUp, for FREE! With no scam free trials. To the developer: wouldn't you rather have 10% of something, than 100% of Nothing?

Great app - easy to use but pricey for casual wood worker who needs it only off and on. I suppose you could subscribe a month at a time as needed but that would be a pain. A one time purchase option would be ideal.

Maybe ‘cut level’ refers to wood thickness, but I don’t think so. Nor do I know what it means & there isn’t a guide available. Regardless, there’s not a field for stock thickness, so unless one intends to build with only one material, this app is either tedious (needing to create multiple lists for the same project, manually labeling thickness) or trash. My current project requires 2x4s, 1X3s, 3/4’ and 1/4’ ply but I see no evident way to differentiate the 3rd dimension. Nonetheless, I did try to create a list and run it but was met with, ‘please enter all dimensions,’ which I had.

Greetings from Measure Square, thank you for the comments. The higher "cut level", the higher yield rate but with more complex layout. Please just run the same project a few times with different cut levels, and you'll see the differences and understand it better. Indeed we don't support thickness so far, but we'll consider it for the future update, thank you for the great suggestion!
