I am more disappointed with the toy than the app. After a few months of use the sensor stopped picking up the toys so it no longer names the food and the belt doesn’t move. It still counts money at least. Updating the app didn’t fix the issues, I’m sure the sensor just went bad. I wish you could remove food items when one is lost so you can still play the games like speed scanner.

Update: The latest update fixed the add on packs, they’re recognized now. The kids love the checkout, the app works well, and the songs and games are providing enjoyment for the preschoolers! Old review: The additional add on sets you can buy don’t work with the app. You’re supposed to be able to scan an item to make the add on food items available in the app games, and unlock songs. They’ve been selling the add on packs for a while, but the app still doesn’t recognize them. This would be a real nice toy/app, my toddlers love it. But come on, you’re selling the add ons, update your app. That should have been done before you sold them. Hire a software engineer or something, this isn’t rocket surgery.

Update - Got a message telling me to update firmware and that the packs would now work... updated firmware ( which already said it was up to date) and now there is no sound. Please don’t waste your money on this toy or the add on packs. I tried to be patient, but 4 months is a long time to wait for an adequate app. Now a 1 star review.Cute app. However, I’m with the other reviewers that it’s disappointing to not be able to use the other smart food packs with the check out like we were lead to believe. When will the new update occur?!!

Just like everyone on here, I see the responses to update the app and I did! The check out still does not recognize the extra food packs I purchased! The lunch, dinner and breakfast items don’t work! And why are there locked songs! My daughter is so disappointed! Fix the problem!
