I'm sorry, but application can't support new Canon Cameras, such as Canon 5DS, 5DSR, 5D Mark IV... etc.
The main reason is - Canon always return "1" as Shutter Counter value. I don't know why. I hope, canon will fix it soon.
Right now, you can use application only for old cameras.
For new cameras, you can check Serial Number of device with Body number. And, if it set, owner name.
Ratings and Reviews
The program works well for 5d Markiii but as the developer noted not with newer cameras. I also have two other shutter count apps and they do not work with newer Canon cameras either. This program works as well as the other two programs and is very functional. I had trouble getting the program to work at first. I contacted the developer and the problem was solved and the app works great.
Easy to use, pleasant surprise
Just bought a Canon DSLR off eBay where seller didn't list shutter count. I paid in the neighborhood where if shutter count was listed, it was over 60,000. Low shutter count versions have been selling for at least $100 over what I paid. Pleasantly surprised to use this app and find out my camera only has 4,200 shutter actuations.
Good value. Does waht it says.
Worked on my 6D. no BS. $1 is a great price to find out the shutter count. The developer is acting like a decent person. I’ll never need to know the count again so price is very fair. Downloading from the App store let’s me know the program is virus free
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
