This is a safe, efficient and professional SMS filter. You can customize your own filters to help you filter spam and MMS messages from unknown phone numbers. What it does: Automatically classify your messages, filter junk messages, let you avoid being disturbed by spam during work, rest or when you are on your phone(such as gaming or reading). Privacy matters: All verification activities occur in a closed and secured process provided by iOS, without the need to connect to the network throughout, and SMS Filter+ will not read, collect or tag your messages. Customize your filters: Filter your messages like a pro, support check phone numbers, text, containing multiple keywords, start/end with keywords, match with Regular Expression and other advanced features. How it works: When a message comes, SMS Filter+ will always go through your Allow, Transaction and Promotion filters. Once there is any filter made a match, messages automatically classified into the corresponding folder. If those filters can not make a match, then SMS Filter+ will go through your Junk filters, message will be filtered if it matched as spam. Notifications & Badge If a message classified as Allow, Transaction and Promotion, you will still get notifications and unread badge on the Message app icon, if a message filtered as spam, you won’t get any notifications and there is no unread badge.

I’ve been using this app for close to a year and it does exactly what it says it does, and it does it well. It can block spam texts from both phone numbers and email addresses because the filters are completely custom & can be set to check both the sender and message content, just the message content, or just the sender. The keyword matching is much more robust if you understand how regex works, so you should consider googling a tutorial/cheat sheet if you don’t know what that is (you're not forced to use regex, but it lets you make more complex filters so it’s worth trying to learn it). I highly recommend this app.

Two things that could make this app even better: iCloud support to sync rules between devices and the ability to name/describe each filter so they don’t only appear as complicated regular expressions and you can tell what each one does.

I’d been thinking about some sort of regex based message filter the likes of this app for a long time, I had no idea it already existed! Thanks so much for solving one of my longest time problems- my phone number having been assigned to me with thousands of spam senders already having ahold of it, being able to write short matches or regexes has made being anything but do not disturb possible again.
This app is exactly what I was looking for.

The regex is a little non-standard and limiting, something like the perl extended regex standard would be perfect.Would also be very useful to be able to “save” messages in the app with a corresponding expected result, that will allow unit testing using many prior messages.
