Great game; great company.

For a free game this is a great and addicting game to play. I own a lot of Karisoft games, including the original game Dev Story. I loved that game as a child and this game takes it a step further with feeling like a true game development studio. However, this game is not without faults. For one, the game feels too grindy, and almost is locked behind a small paywall. For example, coins are a big part of this game but can only be randomly found or bought. I’ve been playing the game for over a week now and I would probably be close to finishing the original Game Dev Story. So it’s a plus for longevity but it’s a delicate balance to a game that it seems to fall short on. I have also notice it does crash once or twice a day when I’m playing it. I’m on the iPhone 11 so the software is fine and my phone is not the issue that is causing it. Overall a good and fun game that is addicting and worth the download. Keep up the great work!

I own almost every Kairosoft Mac release, including some in Japanese that haven’t been translated (I thought maybe I could guess my way thru the games LOL.) LOVE Kairosoft’s style of management games — and this one is true to form. I don’t quite understand the Power Ups - and kind of wish there was a “combo” building feature like in Kairo Park, Dream House, and Pocket Academy (still my absolute FAVORITE!) but I’m thoroughly enjoying this game. Been playing it every day since the summer started early July. Love it! Please finish translating the rest!! Can’t wait to try Basketball!!!

After playing this game for 5 days straight, that this game is phenomenal! This game isn’t really pay to play, and the ads are at the title screen an the bottom of the screen so they aren’t distracting you from the game. Also the game always rewards you for doing literally anything with gifts or cash. This game makes you feel like actually owning a game company, and shows character progression in skills developing a game. I normally don’t make reviews but this simple game is amazing, and addicting in a good way. 5 starsI also have a suggestion: Make coins easier to gain, many things in this game requires coins.

UPDATE: After spending several days with this game it’s getting frustrating to the point of quitting. The reliance on gold coins is really showing. You can’t get anything without them. You can’t even purchase them right now; that functionality is broken. You’re forced to rely on scummy ad practices to “earn” them and even if you complete the earning steps you probably won’t get your coins. Ready to quit. Would be nice if there was a way to make a one time purchase to remove ads and maybe give you daily coins. As it stands now the gold coins are almost impossible to get. The offers never work and they TRICKLE in otherwise. The energy system isn’t great but so far it hasn’t been a major issue. You can develop games without using energy.
