Introducing Body Battery This release brings Body Battery to Sonar: a new way to track your cumulative energy levels throughout the day across iPhone and Apple Watch. Body Battery combines elements of Recovery, Sleep, Strain, and Stress into a single 0–100 score that reflects your current energy status. While Recovery tells you how well you recharged overnight, Body Battery shows how that energy is used, replenished, or depleted as your day unfolds. A midday nap, a stressful meeting, or a high-intensity workout will all have real-time effects, helping you understand when to push and when to recover. Powered by signals like HRV, stress, sleep quality, and activity, Body Battery typically charges during restful periods (especially sleep), can top up slightly during calm moments, and drains with exertion or elevated stress. It also carries over from the previous day to reflect cumulative fatigue or recovery. For quick reference, Sonar groups your energy level into three zones: Low (0–24), Moderate (25–49), and High (50–100). Body Battery ships with a series of beautiful widgets for your Home and Lock Screens, as well as complications and deep-dive screens for Apple Watch. Liquid Glass This update also includes a new floating tab bar and liquid glass visuals across the Home and Health screens, inspired by Apple’s new design language for iOS 26. We’ll continue rolling this look out across the rest of the app over the coming months. Renpho Support for Renpho has been reintroduced, with one caveat: it only works for users who have not yet migrated to Renpho’s new app platform. Support for the updated platform will be made available once Renpho has granted access. This update brings a major design refresh ahead of iOS 26, introducing a glassy and translucent appearance and a cleaner visual style throughout the app. Photos have been replaced by a full icon system, with over 200 icons covering every workout and metric type in Sonar. Whether you’re skydiving, hang gliding, or doing household chores, there’s now an icon that reflects it. You can also customize your wallpaper on both the Home and Health screens by tapping “Edit” at the bottom of each screen and selecting “Update Wallpaper.” Choose any photo you like, and optionally apply a blur effect. Charts on the Home screen have been redesigned with a more modern appearance, including a visible y-axis to make trend viewing easier at a glance. This update introduces a couple of features that give you more control over how your data is synced and displayed in Sonar: Toggle Devices On or Off You can now temporarily disable any connected device or app without fully removing it from Sonar. On the Synced tab, tap on a device and use the “Show Data” toggle. Turning a device off will instantly recalculate all your data without it; turning it back on will recalculate everything to include it again. This is a great way to explore how different device combinations affect your metrics. Clear Cache & Refresh Data A new option in the Account section of the Profile tab allows you to clear cached data and trigger a full recalculation of all your metrics on Sonar. As a reminder, you can also customize which devices contribute data to each individual metric by going to Profile > Personalize > Data Sources. This lets you prioritize devices for categories like Activity, Sleep, Vitals, Energy, Nutrition, and Body Composition — and choose how that data is combined (average, sum, max). This release also includes minor refinements to previously introduced languages, support for viewing blood glucose in mmol/L, and a series of bug fixes and performance improvements. This release adds full support for Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and Chinese (Simplified) across the iPhone app, Apple Watch app, widgets, and complications. For Arabic speakers, we’ve redesigned the interface to fully support right‑to‑left (RTL) layouts across every part of the experience, so Sonar feels natural and intuitive in Arabic. We’ve also made minor refinements to German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese based on user feedback. This update introduces the ability to easily re-sync data for any device or app you have connected with Sonar. This can be useful in cases where you believe some of your data isn't properly reflected or missing. To do this, go to the Synced tab, tap on the device, and select “Refresh Sync.” This will remove all existing data for that device in Sonar and sync it again from scratch.

This release brings real-time stress analysis to Sonar across iPhone and Apple Watch. Stress Snapshot analyzes trends in your heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, maximum heart rate, and motion data — relative to your personal baselines - to provide an easy‑to‑understand score on a scale from 0 - 100 that's updated continuously. Stress ships with a series of new and beautiful widgets for your home-screen and lock-screen, as well as complications and deep-dive screens for Apple Watch. Stress updates are paused during workouts so that cardiovascular load (i.e. Strain) isn’t misclassified as psychological stress. To work properly, high-frequency readings are required, as opposed to daily averages. While most devices provide high frequency data, some devices (e.g. Whoop) limit the frequency of data they provide. For best results, it's recommended that you wear your device throughout the day and night, so that your personal baselines can be properly calibrated.
