Great App but misleading at times

Obviously we all love this app for convenience and great offers. Thank you for great customer service on placing orders, receiving items, and ease of returns and refunds.

I do have one problem that I do think needs your attention. Some items are labeled as “discounted” by 56% (example AirPods after discount at 515 and before 1200... the AirPods currently at the Apple store at 680 so I don’t get where that 1200 number came from). And that prevails across 100s of “supposed offers”. So please get your suppliers and the app to stop misleading people. A game that is 5 years old is no longer 260 dirhams so I don’t appreciate seeing it for 150 and you mentioning previous price was 260. I could possibly find it for 80 in regular retail outlets. I understand monitoring this may be difficult but it seems like a constant lie to customers looking for a bargain.

Either way, thanks for a great app and hope you take the above as constructive feedback.

Unreliable

Souq has proven to be an unreliable and unprofessional company. Here is my experience: I placed an order for a substantial amount on Nov. 19 to be delivered by Nov. 21 (the money was withdrawn from my credit card). Comes Nov. 25 and the order had not been delivered nor had I received any sort of communication from Souq. I call them that evening only to learn that the order had been cancelled earlier in the day and a refund was made!! The reason: a technical issue!!! I speak with the customer service manager Salma (who was quite aggressive in her approach to handling the situation). She simply asked me to place the order once again on the same day without even considering that it takes 2-5 days for the refund amount to hit my bank account; and even after explaining this point to her and that I do not have the funds in my card to cover for the order, she persisted I make the order 'somehow' so that the item I want to buy doesn't go out of stock! She didn't even offer to hold the item until I receive the refund and can place the order once more!!! Anyways, a week later and I still cannot place the order because Souq promised to provide me a 1% compensation (which was not offered or easy to attain and I had to negotiate for) to be placed in my account before I can place the order. It's been 2 days of empty promises that the compensation will hit my Souq account within 24hours. Really frustrated, annoyed and regret placing an order from Souq.
