Based on Colin Thiele's 1964 children’s book of the same name, Storm Boy takes place on the beaches of South Australia near the mouth of the Murray River, where the titular protagonist rescues orphaned pelican chicks, one of whom later becomes the child’s pet and faithful companion, Mr. Percival.
Experience an interactive retelling of the classic tale by taking control of both Storm Boy and Mr. Percival in key moments, such as when the pair rescued stranded sailors during a storm. Relive their friendship and enjoy seaside activities across a wide assortment of fun and relaxing mini-games, including sand drawing, sailing, cockle hunting, playing fetch, sand surfing, pelican feeding, and more.

so i was so excited to download this game bc it looked ADORABLE. when it came out i was sooo happy. the graphics where adorable and looked amazing. so i started to play all was well, and then it was over. not even an hour of playing and the story line was over. there’s no point in wasting your money when the game takes no longer than an hour to play. 😤🙄
i’m so annoyed but when i was playing it was very fun and sad and the graphics where great. i’m upset with the game but hopefully it can be improved. thanks and i hope you read this.
Fantastic visuals and story
Clearly the people reviewing this game expect everything they put on their phone to take 1000 hours of grinding to “level up” and have an ad appear for 15 seconds after every other move. THIS GAME IS NOT THAT. It is a terrific adaptation of a classic story. And even though you can easily finish it even if you’re *not* a hard core gamer, that’s totally fine! To all the two-star reviewers: there’s more (much more) to the gaming genre than grinding for hours on treadmill levels and watching ads like they’re cut scenes. Kudos to folks involved in making Storm Boy!
This game lasts like 10 minutes at best. It’s not good enough to pay $3 for even though it looks cute it’s pretty glitchy and not the best made game I’ve seen. There’s no real goal except for the bird to reach the boat but even that you can skip through. Literally not worth the money if you want a game you can play for awhile or more than once.
