App Doesn’t Work on 10.5” iPad Pros
Ever since an app update on Nov. 8, 2018 the app doesn't function on the 10.5” iPad Pro. I've tested it on multiple ios devices and the 10.5” Pro is the only one that it consistently doesn’t run on. It doesn’t run at all...the app can’t even be opened. When you tap on it to open it just disappears and you're back on your home screen.
I don't use the app all that much but when I do it's for programming recordings and it works awesome for that.
So I was going to add some new shows and the app crashes...I'm unable to even open it on 2 iPad Pros 10.5".
On an iPad 5 (the newest regular one) the app opens but it can't connect to Tablo. It tells me this is because there was a problem establishing an authenticated session with my Tablo...due either to authentication or network connectivity issues. Since I'm not experiencing any network problems...it must be the authentication issue...which I have no idea how to fix.
It works fine on the newest 11” iPad Pro and the new iPad mini 5.
Used to be a good product
But every time an update is installed, it creates more problems then it’s worth. Clearly they don’t test their software updates! It may work fine on Roku or FireTV, but forget about it on AppleTV. Since last update with commercial skip, which doesn’t work at all, the device constantly drops the connection, and can’t find the Tablo on the network. You can “Try Again” to no avail. I even tried hardwiring the device - didn’t help. Recordings that used to work perfectly are useless. Nothing plays back properly any more and has continual crashing when trying to watch with multiple failures even with a more powerful antenna that shows all green circles. The same programs that fail when recording I can watch live perfectly. How is that possible? It will work on my IPad most of the time, but fails trying to watch the same program via AppleTV. Don’t waste your money!
Mixed reviews depending our which device/iOS version
My wife's iPad mini with iOS 9.0.1 stopped working with the most recent update 1.6.2. I just see the blue header at the top and a blank white screen for the rest. My iPads running 10 or 12 work fine. Not sure what the issues is, have delete/restart/installed multiple times to no avail. Hopefully this will be resolved soon, but given the time between updates it will be awhile.
