While the interface is much nicer, and it’s free with the course, there is no value to this app at the time of this review (March 2025). The previous (paid) app, had an enormous question bank that provided instant scoring with each question and was perhaps the best study tool available.So, now with The Institutes, you get no books (for many courses) and the app is just the practice exam that you already have on the site. Continuous reduction in value has become a theme. I hope this improves.

This new app is garbage. The old app would tell you if it was right or wrong immediately, and it also had hundreds of questions to help me prepare and get in the correct mindset to actually take the exam.If TheInstitutes was actually trying to improve on their product, they have failed. Awful.

I share the sentiment of the previous reviewer. Without knowing how the app was in the past, I can’t speak to that extent. However, the app offered nothing new or beneficial that the study material doesn’t already provide. All I had access to was the same practice exam that’s offered through the website.

App does not provide feedback on why a question was incorrect. Quizzes are impractically long and not segmented by subject matter. Results only provided after completing the entire quiz, rather than after every question, eliminating the usefulness of review. It technically came free with the course and I still feel ripped off.
