Description

Our life is made up of time. How we spend our time – this is how we live.
And we have something to strive for! We all would like to live a better, or different, life.

Nowadays most of our life is spent in front of computer screens. And often we don’t realize how much time we spend like that.

So we created a time tracker app that counts and records everything you do with your Mac.

(1) What time the computer was turned on/off
(2) How much time you spent in front of the screen today / yesterday / this week / this month / this year
(3) What apps you used and for how long

A time tracker is essential. You can’t move your productivity forward without a clear understanding of how you spend your time.

It’s hard to make any progress without tracking and analyzing. TimeMatters pops everything up in front of your eyes:
– Oh, wow: I've started to work more (or less)
– Great: I've started waking up (or going to bed) earlier
– Super: I now spend less time on social media

TimeMatters works as a background process. There is no need to start a timer. You just open your statistics when you need to – and you have all the data in front of you.

And it's a free app! (But you can get Premium).

TimeMatters time tracker provides clear visualization of your stats and gives you summaries for each day/week/month.

Based on that, you decide for yourself whether or not you are living your desired life. And then you can make a change – or not :)

But without understanding how you spend your time, it is very difficult to change anything. So get the app right now!

TimeMatters is not about reporting your working hours to a boss or a client. It’s about observing and analyzing your own life and productivity.

Live the best version of your life! With TimeMatters ;)

PREMIUM

The screen time tracker is free. But you can go Premium.

TimeMatters is a free app, but it shows your stats only for 7 days. Go Premium if you want to get access to full data.

This is one-time payment. Once you have purchased this package, you can use the time tracker forever, without having to pay anything else.

Nice app

Good presentation, very reliable. I would consider buying the full version, but it doesn't seem like the app really does a lot more once I spend the money. What i get from the free version is basic but useful enough.

Seems like the developer has moved onto other projects, but if he were to update it I'd love if it were possible to not only track how much time I spend on apps, but if it could track my movement between apps.

So, for instance, if I use Slack for 30min and Premiere Pro for 45min, I'd love to know if it went...

Slack (5min) > Premiere (23min) > Slack (14min) > Premiere (22min) > Slack (11min)

Attention span is what I am after, and this is a way of measuring that. Currently, just have a large block of time with the totals of each software is just so much less granular that it makes this app into a nice sidepiece rather than a truly valuable tool.

The reason I'd really love this from this developer is also that I haven't found anything else in the App Store that comes as close to what I want as this TimeMatters does. Everything is so, so focused on *blocking* softwares. But I want just what this app seems to do – a record of how I'm using my computer.

All the best. Thanks for creating this.

You can do just about the same with screen time.

You know I believe the Dev behind this app had very strong intentions. However, I will say that it isn't that much different then screen time. I also wish that the Devs would put how long we spent on websites not just apps. To put the cherry on top of this review, the devs should lock certain apps / websites in the settings. There is lots of room to grow but I will not pay for this app till then.

Best,

Multiple Glitches

I've been using this app for a while now and there is glitch after glitch, I'm unable to see the full list of used apps because its blocked by a paywall, I do not recommend anyone download this app because of how money hungry it is
