I think it’s really awesome (and makes the most sense) to take advantage of your own device’s computational power to transcribe audio without uploading files to the Internet. Privacy it seems to be easily forgotten about these days but not here; the developer seems to respect our right to privacy. And the option to do so without a subscription? Amazing (this day and age)!! Thank you!!!I do have one idea I think would be really cool to include in this app. It would be really nice to have the option to have your voice recording saved alongside the transcription in the app. I think ideally you’d be able to look at your transcription, and tap a play button on the same screen to hear the recording and forever keep the two together that way. It’s nice to be able to consult back to the original source sometimes. It’s a lot of trouble to have to switch back to the voice memos app and hunt down the original recording if I wanted to compare.

This app gets the job done whenever I need to capture meeting notes. I love that it’s not a subscription model and uses my iPad’s computational power to process speech to text! You do have to pay 2.99 for the lifetime license, which is very fair in my opinion.I did try the Just Record app, but I’m liking this more as it types the text in real time vs. Just Record where it will ONLY transcribe as soon as the recording is finished.Your transcriptions will also stay in app, but a nice thing about this is you’re able to upload videos and audio files and it will transcribe.

I’m very impressed with the quality of the transcriptions and the very reasonable price. Keeping the audio on the device is so much better than using an online service (the one I tried returned a poor quality transcription).

I downloaded this app on my Apple IPad. I went into my settings on both devices (iPhone and iPad) and “enabled dictation “. I went back to the app and tried to open “live audio” but I keep getting an error message saying I have to go into settings and enable dictation on my device. I went back to my app settings to make sure I hadn’t somehow inadvertently turned it off again, but I didn’t, it’s still showing it is enabled. So I went out of app, deleted the app and then reinstalled it and then rebooted my device and I still can’t get passed that error message. I paid the $2.99 for it yet can’t do a thing with it. So far a complete waste of time and money. If I can ever get passed this screen I will reevaluate my review.
