Description
Trimma is the easiest way of quickly cutting videos without any hassle. No project creation like in iMovie, no strange export settings that change the video's resolution.
Just follow these simple steps:
1. Open the video
2. Insert cuts to quickly remove unwanted parts
- quickly scroll through your video or use the cursor keys for precision steps
- use the toolbar buttons or the hotkeys A / S to quickly add / remove cuts.
- insert a cut in the red area will end the red area at the current position
3. Choose an export preset
- Passthrough – keep the original encoding, small files stay small, export is blazing fast
- HEVC – The High Efficiency Video Codec uses the power of h265 encoding to video to a tiny file. Great for sharing with other Mac / iOS Users!
- AVC – The Advanced Video Codec uses the power of h264 and also creates small video files. Files are not as small as with HEVC, but compatibility with older systems is better
- Thumbnail – The only free preset. It generates a small video with low quality. Fast in export and gives an idea of what to expect from the export.
4. Export – yeah, it's really not more complicated

Can’t test…
This app is “locked” until it’s paid for. There’s no way to get ANY export option without payment. Kind of defeats the purpose of the “trial” if you can’t test actual results. — Not changing review. Thumbnails do nothing to show how well a video TRIMMING app actually TRIMS videos.

I'm sorry for the confusion. The "Thumbnail" export option doesn't need to be unlocked. – Trimma does no automatic trimming, the thumbnail export will however only export the marked sections of the video. Trimma works by allowing you to easily mark the parts of a video that you want to keep and that you want to discard. When you export via Passthrough, the export does not need to encode the video again and will be super fast, preserving the original video's quality.
Unstable, crashes
Program is unstable, crashes, won't work with Default Folder, Won't save its "Thumbnails". (It may require Admin priv's to run - and I am not logged in as an admin).

the app does not require admin privileges to run. I used Default Folder and couldn't find any problems with Trimma.
Awesome App
I really don't know why Trimma got such bad reviews. It's completely stable and the cuts are precise - right down to a single frame. I tried two other "trimming" apps and the cuts were way off...nearly impossible to get right. This is well worth $10.00.
