The virtual guide to the KZ Gedenkstätte Mauthausen | Mauthausen Memorial offers an overview of the history of the Mauthausen/Gusen concentration camp system. Between 1938 and 1945 approximately 190,000 people from more than 40 countries were imprisoned in the Mauthausen and Gusen concentration camps or one of the subcamps. At least 90,000 were murdered there. Today, the Mauthausen Memorial is an international place of remembrance and a centre of historical and political education.
The virtual guide is organised in location-based modules and new modules are added regularly.
