Description

Wake Me Up allows you to start a computer (PC or Mac) remotely, by sending a special Wake-on-LAN network request.

You can start your computer in several ways:

- By pressing the big button inside the app.
- By using the "Today" widget available on the home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
- By asking Siri directly from your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

The Siri shortcut requires iOS 12 and you must record the phrase you want to use with Siri beforehand (inside the app or the settings of the iPhone or iPad).

Wake-on-LAN is a network protocol supported by the majority of Ethernet cards on the market. Be sure to set up your computer to enable Wake-on-LAN support, and use the MAC address of your Ethernet card and not the MAC address of your Wi-Fi card.

Great WOL Experience

I have a NAS device configured for Wake-On-LAN, this application “just works”. Following proper set up of the application, I’ve had no issues waking up my device from power off. There are other WOL iOS applications out there, but I’ve always had issues with them. I would suggest Wake Me Up none only for stability, but it has a very simple interface. Thank you for creating an application that works! lol.

Works first time - 1 suggestion for the developer

Needed some Google searches to ensure that I knew what I was doing with static ip address, and subnet mask but after that this app is as easy as they come.
Developer idea: how about creating a web page with instructions on finding Mac address etc? Or else, add links to other people's web pages for instructions?

Clean. Needs Multi-PC and Remote Wake

Very nice and clean interface, well done. I would pay money to have multi-PC and remote wake. Please consider adding this. The Siri Shortcuts makes this absolutely indispensable. I use to use an app called “WakeUp” that allowed remote wake and multiple PCs, and it even had a separate Windows and Mac for putting thenPC to sleep. These features would merit a solid $4.99 or even $9.99 price tag for me.
