Pay2win faster but not P2W

At first glance it might feel like a simple P2W game but once you get the hang of it, it’s more of a free to play grind. However the grind feels rewarding so far. Once your able to 3 dice win a challenge dungeon your able to grind over and over again while pretty much either breaking even on gold or substantially increase your gold assuming of course you don’t pick gear as your reward. I am able to grind a few out till I hit a 20 dice roll on gold then start picking gear till I spend it the gold I won, rinse/repeat until your strong enough to push forward in exploration mode. The pvp is your ur typically win grab a chest with a timer on it (the timers are too long) you would think they would have followed Clash royale’s updates chest timers. Also, they definitely need to add additional reward for PvP other than a chest. Finally, this is a D&D game there should NOT be a timer on quests, after you complete one you should immediately be given another one without a timer. For now I will assume improvements are on the way and hopefully they are player friendly improvements and not greedy publisher improvements. The VIP pass is NOT worth it, you won’t noticed the difference, they seriously need to improve the benefits (hint the unlimited quest thing would definitely entice more players to grab VIP)..... just saying.

Sold D&D on mobile

I have been playing dungeons and dragons for 25 years. This is streamlined (perhaps far too much)for simplicity, you don’t get to create your own characters or even choose classes beyond a “new hero pick barbarian or fighter” and you have no control over starting stats or gear. However, it’s a very solid experience. The graphics are good, the turn based combat is fun and soon grows challenging, the dungeon master is well voiced and has many nice little touches. I also like the fact that dungeons give you options in which ways to take and the critical hit animations are awesome. It’s a good feeling to have your party almost wiped by a boss just before a hero lands a critical and the animation starts. Big sigh of relief.

I have played a few hours and my favorite thing so far, while it’s offered, as I have had Zero need to pay money to keep playing. The level up system is simple and rewarding and I have yet to drop below a few hundred gold which is used to upgrade gear and character levels. That may change, but so far this game isn’t demanding you feed it real money to avoid a slow continuing.

Solid game. Highly recommend for anyone who likes turn based combat and especially d&d fans. The story is generic but it’s well told and has fun Easter eggs and lore tidbits it you are familiar with the franchise.

Fun game with a paywall

I can typically only hold interest in a game for about 3-4 weeks before I lost all interest. The drawback with this game is that after about a week of semi-regular playing you hit a wall where you honestly can’t progress unless you pay some amount of money because the rewards you get from chests and exploring dungeons are now a small fraction of what you need to upgrade weapons.
Also, my biggest issue is that their “Free” gem system where you can fill out surveys for third parties and such seems to be entirely broken. I’ve done about 6 surveys and/or trivia games that took about 20 minutes each in hopes of earning some gems. However, none of them worked. When I try to go earn my free gems they all say the surveys are “ongoing” and that I could reach out to support with a screenshot of the completion screen as proof of me completing the survey/trivia and they will look into it. Alas, of course I didn’t take a screenshot of any completion screens and any attempt to find those screens would require me to completely retake said surveys; who has time for that?
If they are going to have this feature then they should make the gem retrieval process seamless.
