WBAY Action 2 News First Alert 12+

Not everyone in this state wants to hear anything about the packers when we are selecting to view the news feed. If you want packers, put it under sports. There are more important thing going on in the world than off season packers news. There is a BIG world out there!

I rarely spend my time bothering to write reviews, and when I do, they are generally deservingly positive. That being said this is easily by far the worst app that I have. Actually make that had - it isn’t worth having on any of my devices any longer. Poor stability, annoying advertising format & presentation, notifications occasionally sync inaccurately with their respective stories, frequently not current, awful layout, customization options are laughable, story posting lacks any discernible order; essentially just frustrating to use if you’re lucky enough to use it without it crashing. To make matters worse the app now has “for Apple users” buttons. Why release an app that isn’t compatible with one of the two major platforms seamlessly? It is a shame as the WBAY news staff are easily my favorite local source. Unfortunately this app is not on par with what they’ve done to earn my viewership. Please put forth a stronger effort.

I tolerated the full page ads in the previous version, because I didn't mind closing a few ads to get content. But this new version is getting deleted from my phone.

Now when you launch the weather, a video ad automatically plays at full volume, despite my phone being silenced. You wait until the ad is over to see content, only to have ANOTHER ad window pop up. Close that one, and you go back to the previous page, which launches the auto-play, full volume video ad AGAIN.

No thanks. It's faster and easier to pull up a weather forecast on any website.
