I like this app. I wanted something to keep me accountable as I strive for a daily minimum word count. As far as that purpose, it’s a simple and effective way to keep tracking of my writing process. If the timer could be set to count down for a set amount of time with an alarm at the end, I’d have given it 5 stars. As it stands now, I start the timer on the app then switch over to the timer on my phone so I can time out twenty minute sprints. I don't care that my manuscript word counts may change from what’s recorded in this app as I edit because my word processing program tracks words for me. I quickly ran through the twenty entries available in the free version so I decided to go ahead and upgrade to premium. A note: the button I clicked in the app said the upgrade was $4.99 but it was actually processed at $2.99. For $3 this app is well worth it.

The bad news: The app crashes when I'm online. Since I use it offline, this isn't an issue for me. This app has a number of nice features, such as a timer, which helps you track how many words per hour each session of writing is. The graphs and statistics summaries - which show you how you're doing over time - are also very useful, and the app's design is simple and attractive. You can export your stats as a CSV file.The app hasn't been updated for a long time, but I've used it for several years now and am pleased with it. It's a shame that the app isn't updated regularly, because this is one of the better writing apps I've encountered.

This is easy to use, and with the one time “premium” fee, I can keep track of multiple writing projects. Definitely keeps me motivated!Only thing I’m not a huge fan of (and this is literally picking at details), is the requirement of adding time when manually adding words. Sometimes I am doing a combination of researching and writing, so I don’t time myself. It’s more me being neurotic than anything wrong with the app.Either way, I am so glad I came across this!

Update (July 13, 2016): Still doesn't work. Broke down and finally deleted it. The reinstall did no good. Still won't open. If I could give it a zero star I would.Update (January 30, 2016): Still cannot use the app after 4 months. There have been no updates since November. Used to love this app and paid for full version. Would not recommend anymore. Emails have been ignored and no efforts seemed to have been made to fix the crashing problem many users are having.Update (November 23, 2015) there has been another update. Now the app shows the title screen for a second and then crashes. My previous review still applies....Previous review: Since the most recent update (in October 2015), the app no longer works. Bought the full version a long time ago and had about 5 novels' worth of data on there. Also missed out on tracking my NaNoWriMo progress. I have not tried to remove the app and download it again for fear of losing the data I have on there. I am hoping this will get fixed. However, I have already sent two emails to support and have received no response as of yet.
