The app works well enough regarding its primary function. However, every time the app is closed and reopens, it asks for me to sign in again. A hassle, but not too challenging. But there’s no Face ID log in for this app. So I have to manually put in my credentials every time I open the app from close. Very frustrating.

Our apartment complex just installed these in our front doors, and told us “we’d be able to tap our phones to the door to open.” Okay, when I hold my phone at the exactly correct angle, my wallet pops up, but nowhere in the Zentra app is there a way for me to add my front door fob to my wallet. So I have to stand at my front door, open an incredibly slow app, and wait for it to register to be able to enter my home. For the love of god, please at least make a widget so I can press a button instead of opening the app, or at least let me add my fob to my wallet. By the way, nowhere is there instructions on how to use this app, it’s like 100% of their marketing and creative assets are B2B. Did you forget consumers actually have to use your product?

We appreciate your feedback and are actively researching how to best include instructions within the app, in the meantime, Zentra has provided training materials to your property manager. Please reach out to them to receive these documents. The Zentra app credentials are bluetooth enabled so there is no need to tap. Open the app, click your unit number, and then click to unlock. You can stand up to 30 feet away from your door to open. We did recently launch resident key in the Apple Wallet. Please ask your property manager if this will be a feature added to your property.

How is this app so bad??? This is the first review I leave for an app after being on iOS for 20 years….. This app is so broken. The sign in process is terrible and it constantly prompts you. You will find yourself standing outside a common area lock while carrying things and trying to go through their 20 required steps just to log in. The trying to find the lock you need to open. It would be great if you could tap your phone to open or at least have TRUE face ID instant login to the app not a redirect to a mobile site to enter credentials! P.S. I work in the tech industry… This is not user error, this is a horrible app. Look at how solid Open Path or several other apps are. You have to step up your QA game with your dev team!

Our apartment complex recently went digital with our locks and we constantly get logged out. The app times out. We sometimes have to wait 3-4 minutes to get logged back in and for our lock to be activated. In the event of an emergency this would be a disaster. In the rare event we aren’t timed out it works fine but far too inconsistent and inconvenient for me to rate it anything better than a 1 star. It’s not just us either, it’s literally everyone we talk to in our “high end resort community”.
