Bui Family Union, USA (BFU-USA) is a membership Socio Cultural Association that promotes cultural diversity and economic development by linking Bui communities in the US and Cameroon. Our association currently boasts 200 members, organized into 9 chapters in 8 US states.

Our mission is to preserve Bui Cultural Heritage, support Bui communities in the US, and promote economic development in Bui Division in Cameroon. Our vision is that anyone of Bui heritage living in the US will speak their native language and be committed to staying engaged with their motherland.

BFU-USA is registered as 501c3 association in the US, with an annual spend of $100,000 funding development projects in Bui Division in Cameroon, outreach to support Bui communities in the US, and initiatives to promote cultural diversity and Bui culture awareness in the US.

Our marquee event is our annual National Convention, which is hosted on a round robin basis by each BFU-USA chapter. Our National Convention is one of the premier Cameroonian cultural events in the US and a veritable showcase of Bui culture. The convention is also an opportunity to strengthen our Bui community in the US through networking and rekindling social and family ties.

Our association operates by a simple mantra: Wir Dze Wir Bii Wir (Who you are is a reflection of your community). We believe that our association in BFU-USA empowers our Bui community in the US, and in turn empowers us individually to give back to our motherland.
