You can set a crackling fireplace as the live background for your TV (that has a connected Chromecast device or Google TV). You can select the background with your iPhone or iPad.

The fireplaces are *not* static images, but are alive and moving.

Plus points:

• HD quality live backgrounds - you can pick a roaring fireplace or a subdued one.
• These are not streamed from the internet and so, you can keep the live backgrounds running for hours without wasting your network bandwidth.
• Once loaded, there are no buffering delays while watching the live backgrounds.
• The live background will keep showing even after you disconnect your iPhone or iPad (Tap the 'Exit app on TV' button to quit the application on your TV).
• No ads, no lags. Just fullscreen fireplaces on the TV!

Fixed the issue of the video not showing up on some Cast devices.

Please restart your Chromecast device or TV if you still don't see the video (and can only hear the audio).

Doesn’t work. Loading the fireplace video takes AGES

After opening the app and connecting to chromecast it asks for choosing between 2 different fireplaces instead of picking a default one. Once you selected one, it will try to download media from internet but always fails and nothing is shown ever.

The author of the app should consider adding some retry mechanism because it always ends up aborting due to timeout.

I’ve wasted 1 buck and my precious time

We've published an update that fixes this issue - the video should work with this update. Can you please try the updated app?
