minor bug fixes.

App open and immediately closes

(iPhone 6s Plus with iOS 14.5 Public Beta 7) I just downloaded the app and tried opening it and it immediately closed, tried several times (and even turning off and then on my phone) and still wouldn’t work. All I can see is the logo and then it comes back to my home page.
