Point your phone at one of the signs in the hospital and hear the Kaurna language translation.
The Women's and Children's Hospital is located on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. Having language spoken over country is a powerful way of acknowledging the connection Aboriginal people continue to have with the land.

Throughout the Women’s and Children’s Hospital the dual naming signage uses the language of the Kaurna people as traditional custodians of Adelaide and the Adelaide plains. Aboriginal people should be aware that in some cases, some words may cause offense.
