HEALTH DATA
Collection of Health data such as calories burned and heart rate requires an Apple Watch or other Apple Health connected device.
BATTERY USE
Arc is only awake and using GPS when you are active and moving. For the rest of the day Arc stays in a low power sleep mode, with GPS turned off, to conserve battery.
On a typical day of two to three hours of travel a single full battery charge should last from morning to evening without requiring extra recharging during the day. However longer trips (for example a long hike or cross country drive) may consume more than expected battery, due to Arc needing to be awake and recording, with GPS activated, for the duration of the trip.
For longer trips, I recommend plugging your phone into a car charger or battery pack, to avoid unpleasant battery surprises.

What’s New
Version 3.17.0
## New timeline confirmation flow
- The "needs confirm" flow has been redesigned and rebuilt, and now includes both "uncertain" items and "unconfirmed" items
- Uncertain items are the same before - items where the app isn't sure about its choice
- Unconfirmed items are all the rest - items that the app feels confident about, but that you haven't confirmed
- A new "Confirm All" button allows for quick confirmation of these, locking in the of these, locking in the timeline's state as it appears at that time
## Other bits
- Added rowing to the activity types that can be saved to Apple Workouts
- Photos from shared libraries are now filtered out
- Many bug fixes, performance improvements, and minor tweaks. It's been a while since the last update so there's been an accumulation of cleanups and fixes since then!
Ratings and Reviews
Best Moves successor
Best app in the store for permanent tracking.
This app rocked. Now my data is inaccessible because the app id incredibly expensive
I tracked myself for months, years, this app did the job.
Sure it was s bit confused with the mode of transport but whatever.
Now somewhen in the past it updated and assumingly stopped tracking without notification, and now i see there is a subscription paywall. I cant even access my previous tracking.
I get that bills have to be paid, but 6 bucks a months is crazy.
Its more then twice what i pay for spotify that i actively use hours a day, and that has to pay artists. Its halb of netflix cost and its staggering 2% of my literal rent. And i live in a ventral europe capital city.
Lemmi pay 30€ once. Or 0,5€ a months. For the app that lies dormant in the background 99% of the time. Or show me adds or i dont know but 6 bucks a month is without any relation.
Is there a way to export my data and move on?
Developer Response ,
Hi!
Arc's pricing is not negotiable. If it is too expensive for your tastes I recommend finding an alternative app to use.
The monthly subscription is the most expensive option, while the 6 monthly, yearly, and Lifetime options are significantly discounted. Most people use Arc for years, not months, so choosing the monthly subscription option would be imprudent. Instead choose the subscription period that better suits your existing and planned use of the app, which as you say has already been years.
For exporting your data, start a free trial, export your data, then cancel the trial before the trial period ends.
Ohne überteuertes Abo geht nichts
Seit dem letzten Update funktioniert die App ohne ein Abo abzuschließen gar nicht mehr. Nichtmal die Aufzeichnungen kann man ansehen. Null Sterne wären richtig
Developer Response ,
What am I, your daddy? Am I supposed to pay for your lunch and your school backpack too?
You and I both woke up today in a capitalist world, same as every other day. That means that to be able to buy food and pay rent people have to pay me for my labour, and for you to use other people's labour you have to pay them for it.
If you're sad about that (I certainly don't think it's the best humanity can do), then get angry at the system - go give capitalism a one star review. But it ain't my fault, son. Don't blame me.
