The best F1 supplementary app out there!

I’ve been using Box Box ever since it launched and I can confidently say it’s essential for any F1 fan out there. It’s what I always wanted the official F1 app to be and more! Now, I’m gonna be upfront with you guys and say that some features are paywalled and there’s the occasional ad too but I understand that aspect since it’s a business which has a relatively high cost of upkeep, so I’m fine with it - your mileage may very tho! Anyway, onto the Pros: + (This is the most important one to me) The developers are very close to their users, listen carefully and act quick - love to see it! + Home- & Lockscreen widgets that not only look great and are customizable (to a degree) but are also info-packed! + Live Activities! Need I say more? If you can’t watch the sessions live, they’re a godsend (plus, they also look great!)!
+ Support for watch and iPad! I can only speak for the watch app because I don’t own an iPad but it works flawlessly and as you’d expect!
+ Cooperations! Box Box is partnered with a lot of the industry‘s well-known creators like „Formula Data Analysis“, „Lollipopman“, „F1 Aerodynamicists“ and many more. All content is linked inside the app so it’s always worth spending some time to dig in some of the data these guys are breaking down! + Great design! Now I know, this is a very subjective topic, but in my opinion, Box Box‘ design is great! They somehow found the right balance between making it look close to F1 with their custom fonts and still come off as individual! + Links to quickly get to the live feeds of your country. As of a recent update, you even see links to your country’s live feed so you can quickly see where it’s streaming and even open the respective app/website! + The superb community that they got over on Discord! It doesn’t have much to do with the app itself, but if you’re a fan and don’t have anyone to geek out over F1 with, join the Discord! There’s a lot of really nice and knowledgeable people over there and, as I mentioned above, the devs are very active on there as well, so you can get in touch if you need anything! Okay, onto the things I’d love to see them add: • More/tighter integration with F1 itself like the ability to listen to the radios or maybe even watch snippets of a session as a video inside the app (just live-insights in general like F1 does throughout a session with AWS for example). „Race Capture“ by the great Shihab Mehboob does some of that so I’d love to see Box Box adopt this as well. • A way to follow the sessions live inside the app in one way or another (at the moment you can only use the Live Activities). A mini-map would also be a welcome addition! • Support for more languages - however, the developers are already on it so this shouldn’t be a concern for very long! As for negatives, I’m gonna be honest: There are none (for me). Box Box is constantly improving and I love to see that! If I had to give a final verdict, it’d be what I said at the very begging of this review! It’s a fantastic supplementary app for any F1 fan and I can wholeheartedly recommend it! Thank you to the developers for giving us an app that’s able to finally satisfy our wants/needs as fans of this great sport! 🙏🏻

A must for F1 fans

Great design, easy to use, useful widgets, Apple Watch support. Developers easy to reach and quick to respond to questions, comments, suggestions etc.
