The Cigna Health Benefits app is designed for customers in a Cigna Global Health Benefits group plan sponsored by an International Organisation (IGO/NGO) or a corporation in Africa.

You can use this app if your membership card displays www.cignahealthbenefits.com and a personal reference number (xxx/xxxxx…).

With the Cigna Health Benefits app, you can:
• Search for a doctor, hospital or facility, and email the search results
• Download or send an electronic version of your membership card for you or a family member*
• Submit claims* and check the status of your pending claims
• Contact us with the tap of a finger

Frustratingly useless

The one function that would be really useful is not available in the app, namely view settlement notes. So basic. And it seems like such an easy fix …

Frustrating, disappointing, simply not good

Everytime I need to send a claim, I have to unload the app from my iPad and upload again in the App Store because the app just doesn’t react. It also hangs up while completing the online form to send a claim. In this day and age it cannot be that difficult to build a simple functioning app. It used to work so well, what happened? I have to go now and reload the app to send my claim…..

Worked nicely; now it doesn’t

This app used to work suitably; enough to meet my needs. I could submit my claims through the app with no issues from 2019 to the first half of 2023.
Then it started to stop working. It wouldn’t allow me to photograph or upload a photo of my claim. And now anytime I try to photograph or upload my claim, it tells me I’ve timed out my session (in the 15 seconds I’ve been on the app) and kicks me out and shuts down.

It’s such a shame because now it’s a nuisance and such a useless app; and it used to function pretty ok and make my life easier.
