*What is GCE O-Level?*
The University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), the Ministry of Education, Singapore and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) are the joint examining authorities for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level examination. The examination is taken by students at the end of their fourth (for Express Stream) or fifth (for Normal Academic Stream) year in secondary school, mostly at age 16. The system is equivalent to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), taken by international candidates including Singapore students who take the exam as private candidates,as well as the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examination taken by students in the United Kingdom.
