Here’s the biggest update for on point so far!

As a on point user you know that the way that on point works has changed over the past months. I had to remove some functionality from the App, which made the user experience worse for everyone.

But I visited Apple in June to find a solution!

I was able to talk to some of the smartest Apple Engineers from the home screen team and we were able to find a solution that is both satisfactory for you as a user, while at the same time being compatible with Apple’s guidelines (which are quite strict when it comes to custom home screen launchers).

AND HERE IT IS: on point 2.0!!

Here’s what’s new in detail:
- Target app now opens directly without being redirected to on point first.
- New app icon that works in light mode / dark mode / tinted mode.
- Ensure compatibility with iOS 18.
- App randomization: every time you open an app, apps are randomly re-positioned.
- There’s still a workaround to add custom apps via Shortcuts Automation, in case you can’t figure out a url scheme.

Gute Idee, ausbaufähig

Es ist sehr interessant. Die Abstände passen nicht ganz und es wirkt alles noch nicht ganz ausgereift aber ich mag das Konzept!
