SEAiq is a full-featured marine navigation app.

It is the only marine navigation app that allows you to load your own charts in a variety of standard formats, including: S-57, S-63, iENC, BSB, and KAP. It also includes the ability to automatically download charts from NOAA for the USA and download of raster charts based on satellite imagery.

Other features include:
* Waypoints
* Routes
* Tracks
* Night color modes
* Anchor alarm
* Automatic download and display of weather (wind & isobar)
* Chart measuring tools (EBL/VRM)
* WiFi-based NMEA and AIS

No purchase is required to use SEAiq to view charts. All features are enabled during a 7-day evaluation period. After that, many of the features require purchase of an in-app upgrade.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

poor chart support for others than NOAA charts.

no CM93v2 support since vers. 4.x.x.x (12/2015), so do not update if you have an old version. However, those older app versions stop working on iOS 12, so avoid updating iOS either.

SeaIQ is not OpenCPN for iOS. There is no CM93 support at all, no Navionics chart support at all, no Garmin blue chart support at all. Raster charts sometimes suffer bad or wrong calibration and therefore are unreliable. Active Captain also doesn‘ work like before, so the app is going to loose its unique features and unless you don‘t just cruise US coastal waters, you will have to buy whole new chart sets from selected providers.

Keine CM93 Unterstützung

Unverständlichlicher Weise werden CM93 Karten nicht mehr unterstützt. Ich habe diese App gerade wegen der Möglichkeit CM93 Karten darzustellen gekauft.
Nun ist diese App für mich wertlos.
