Description
Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.
It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and keeps videos playing in the background.
Note: The "can read information from webpages" text in the permission section is just unfortunate wording. Vinegar needs access to the web page to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy!
(By the way, check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's basically a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites other than YouTube.)

Sehr gut!
Erweiterung funktioniert gut. Muss jedoch YouTube in mobiler Ansicht zwingen. Außerdem hoffe ich auf eine Möglichkeit den Audiotrack einstellen zu können, bzw. den originalen Audiotrack zu hören.
Must-buy Browser Extension!
This is hands down the best browser Extension I‘ve ever used (beside Ad Blockers of course).
It removes all ads and lets you use the native video playback, which means you can also lock your screen while still listening to it or use picture in picture mode outside Safari.
I deleted the YouTube App on my iPhone and iPad to get rid of the annoying bar that wants to link you the the app (if installed). I just added an icons to the YouTube website to my Homescreen instead. The mobile website is very good so I don’t miss the native app.
I‘m using it on both iOS and MacOS - just amazing and no need for YouTube Premium!!

Auch die lästigen Werbungen am Beginn eines Videos kommt nicht.
Videos (Musik etc.) laufen auch im Hintergrund.
