Star Wars™ may span an entire galaxy, but now Disney+ gives you a brand-new home for your favourite films and shows. From the original trilogy to The Mandalorian to the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, here’s a guide to what you’ll find from a galaxy far, far away.

The Mandalorian

Meet the Mandalorian (and try to stay on his good side).

The biggest Star Wars title on Disney+ is about a character with no name: The Mandalorian is the first-ever live-action Star Wars TV show. Executive-produced by Jon Favreau – director of the live-action Lion King and Jungle Book movies – the series is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. It follows the journey of a lone gunfighter (played by Pedro Pascal) in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic.

The star power is strong with this one: The cast includes Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Nick Nolte, and Werner Herzog, and features episodes directed by Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World), and The Clone Wars supervising director Dave Filoni.

The films

The galaxy’s most problematic father is all over Disney+.

The films are at the core of all things Star Wars and you’ll be able to watch many of your favourite films on Disney+ including the classic trilogy and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

The TV shows

K-2SO, last seen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will return in an as-yet-untitled new series for Disney+.

You can also watch two beloved animated Star Wars series: Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Fans won’t have to wait long for new episodes either. The long-anticipated next season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is available to stream on Disney+ with episodes releasing weekly.

And two original live-action series are already in development: an as-yet-untitled series featuring Rogue One’s Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and his sidekick K-2SO (Alan Tudyk), and the long-rumored Obi-Wan Kenobi project starring Ewan McGregor.

Disney+ works seamlessly with the Apple TV app, which brings your movies and TV shows
together in one place.
